A Little More About Me

Hi, I’m Emily (she/her)! I’m an editor and writer based in New York City. During my four years in the premium publishing division of Dotdash Meredith, I wrote about health, nutrition, science, culture, and history for print special editions of brands such as TIME, EatingWell, LIFE, Parents, Real Simple, PawPrint, and the Los Angeles Times. As an editor, I focused on science-backed, reported features and long-form essays for brands such as Health magazine, LIFE, and Shape magazine. In 2020, I launched Health magazine’s line of special editions and was the brand leader for these issues. I also cemented VeryWell’s first ever print presence with the brand’s line of special edition magazines in 2022.

Currently, I’m a health and wellness reporter for DailyMail.com. I cover nutrition, well-being, fitness, trends, medical research, and human-interest. I spend my days reading studies, speaking with medical professionals, and connecting with real-life people affected by health conditions and working in the wellness space.

I graduated from Missouri State University in 2018 with a BA in Creative/Professional Writing and from New York University in 2020 with an MS in Publishing: Digital and Print Media. When I’m not writing or editing, you can find me snuggling my cats, playing video games, or binging the latest Marvel craze.
